Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive cleaning of resident apartments, public spaces, and administrative offices to ensure a consistently clean environment. This includes dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and disinfecting various surfaces such as furniture, fixtures, and restrooms.
  • Set up and display appropriate safety signage before undertaking tasks that may pose slip or fall hazards, ensuring these signs are removed once the area is safe.
  • Report any health, safety, or sanitation issues to the supervisor, including maintenance needs in resident apartments.
  • Adhere to established cleaning schedules and protocols to maintain efficiency and effectiveness in cleaning operations.
  • Regularly monitor and dispose of waste in designated areas, ensuring cleanliness throughout the shift.
  • Maintain a tidy work environment, free from hazards, and ensure all cleaning equipment is stored properly after use.
  • Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and materials.
  • Comply with established guidelines for the storage and disposal of cleaning agents and hazardous materials.
  • Secure all cleaning supplies and equipment to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Exhibit a professional demeanor and foster positive interactions with residents, families, and team members.
  • Assist in additional duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or possess the necessary work permits.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Background checks as mandated by regulatory standards.
  • Completion of a health screening and provision of negative TB test results.
  • Prior experience in cleaning or housekeeping is advantageous, though training is available for candidates demonstrating a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Capability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse population.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment.
  • Must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including standing for extended periods, bending, and lifting up to 40 pounds.
