Senior Registered Nurse

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to assigned patients, utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care, ensuring patient-centered and patient-valued care.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and address patient needs, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to healthcare personnel, ensuring that each patient receives high-quality care.
- Participate in educational programs and in-service training to enhance knowledge and skills, staying current with best practices and evidence-based care.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree, preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of ICU nursing experience, with a strong background in critical care.
- Current, valid RN license or temporary RN license from the Texas Board of Nursing, or valid Compact RN license.
- Current Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, upon hire or placement in the role.
- Current healthcare provider BLS for Healthcare Providers certification from a recognized organization, such as the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Military Training Network.
