Job Title: Senior Registered Nurse

Parkland Health and Hospital System (PHHS) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Registered Nurse to join our Adult Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. As a Senior Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to the development of our nursing practice.

Job Summary:

The Senior Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing direct patient care, assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care, and evaluating patient outcomes. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions, effective communication, and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized plans of care.
  • Assess patient needs, identify potential risks, and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our nursing practice.
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and provide coverage as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
  • BSN degree or higher.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care nursing.
  • ACLS certification.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
