WHAT IS THE ROLE?

As the Manager of Sourcing & Production, you will collaborate with Product Development Teams to optimize productivity, adaptability, and responsiveness to business demands, all while adhering to our core values: Quality, Service, Integrity, and Value. This role is tailored for a dynamic, hands-on professional with a proven ability to lead teams and processes effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure timely supply of manufactured goods and raw materials, surpassing the Company's quality benchmarks and financial expectations.
  • Oversee the successful execution of orders, ensuring quality, punctual delivery, and cost-effectiveness for the Company.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement the Product Development Calendar across Seasonal and Store Set levels.
  • Lead and execute the Seasonal Production Strategy.
  • Manage WIP reporting and Time & Action Calendar effectively.
  • Communicate critical issues regarding order placements or vendor performance to Senior Management and relevant cross-functional partners.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams and vendors through excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Identify and implement improvements in production and sourcing processes.
  • Conduct cost analysis, build historical data, and negotiate terms during the placement stage for CMT and Full Package to align with financial objectives.
  • Maintain the Company's liabilities at manageable levels, ensuring accuracy and integrity, while partnering with Design and Merchandising for effective utilization.
  • Manage vendor chargebacks and RTVs.
  • Validate HTS classifications with Freight Forwarders.
  • Ensure compliance with all duty and taxation regulations.
  • Work with the SVP of Product to allocate styles based on vendor capabilities, capacities, performance, and profitability.
  • Facilitate consensus among manufacturers regarding seasonal calendars.
  • Collaborate with vendors on production planning at both category and style levels.
  • Act as a liaison for daily operations with vendors to ensure efficient product development, costing, production planning, manufacturing, and shipping.
  • Partner with the Raw Materials Team to ensure timely delivery of fabrics and materials for vendor production plans.
  • Resolve production issues during the manufacturing cycle by collaborating with Design and Merchandising Teams.
  • Negotiate capacities to fulfill both BSR programs and the Seasonal Production Strategy.
  • Evaluate vendor performance quarterly using the Vendor Scorecard.
  • Identify, assess, and recommend reliable sources that meet quality, service, and cost efficiency standards, executing dual sourcing when necessary.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of experience in Production, Sourcing, and Manufacturing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the product development lifecycle, from initial design to final production, along with strong vendor management experience.
  • Proficient in vendor and location-based costing.
  • Knowledgeable in yields and garment construction.
  • Demonstrated success in building long-term relationships and negotiating strategic agreements for timely, complete deliveries that meet quality and margin expectations.
  • Strong grasp of the technical aspects of Apparel/Footwear manufacturing.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable in a startup environment, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Possess a proactive and collaborative mindset, with an emphasis on transparency.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic organization.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
