This position is accountable for crafting and executing strategic sourcing and procurement initiatives that prioritize quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery, ensuring the successful rollout and ongoing operations of proprietary elevator systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and refine sourcing, category, and procurement strategies for mechanical and electrical segments, emphasizing cost efficiency, punctual delivery, quality enhancements, supplier performance, and consolidation to bolster manufacturing and operational functions.
  • Analyze total expenditure, pricing frameworks, commercial agreements, and trends for raw materials, finished goods, and manufactured assemblies, with an in-depth understanding of market dynamics and supply chain intricacies in the electronics sector.
  • Formulate strategic roadmaps for electrical and mechanical categories, pinpointing and nurturing new supplier relationships to unlock potential savings and foster new product development.
  • Examine electrical and mechanical assembly BOMs, technical schematics, and engineering specifications to guide strategic sourcing choices and provide insights on manufacturing readiness.
  • Devise risk management strategies to tackle ongoing supply challenges within the electronic supply chain landscape.
  • Oversee Purchase Price Variance (PPV) containment and avoidance strategies to mitigate adverse impacts on profit and loss while ensuring material availability for production operations.
  • Evaluate overall supplier performance within designated categories and implement corrective measures and recovery plans as necessary, in conjunction with Supplier Quality and Engineering teams.
  • Lead Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) initiatives for electrical and mechanical categories, managing current savings and developing multi-year savings strategies.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Product Line Management, Project Management, Field Operations, and Finance teams.
  • Conduct and evaluate RFQs/RFPs/RFIs, spearhead negotiations, assess suppliers, and select suppliers for electrical and electronics categories.
  • Support End of Life products and various workstreams by formulating and executing strategies to maintain operations and revenue targets.
  • Implement performance management frameworks, including KPIs, metrics, and dashboards, to ensure supplier performance and achievement of critical objectives.
  • Provide robust technical guidance within electrical categories, steering product strategy throughout the product development and manufacturing cycles.

Candidate Profile:

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration is essential; a Master's/MBA is advantageous.
  • Over 10 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, and relevant category expertise in Electrical or Mechanical sectors.
  • Certifications in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or PMP are preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of purchasing policies, procedures, practices, and the value of procure-to-pay (P2P) digital platforms.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio), SAP, Oracle, and/or Ariba.
  • In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing and procurement methodologies and strategies.
  • Advanced comprehension of electronics supply landscapes, manufacturing processes, and product lifecycles.
  • Adept at interpreting ambiguous data and transforming it into clear analytical and decision-making tools.
  • Strong negotiation skills with PCBAs, Semiconductors, Power Electronics, or related technologies.
  • Experience in managing component demand-supply cycles and collaborating with suppliers to ensure alignment in fluctuating environments.
  • Expertise in TCO analysis to facilitate data-driven component and supplier selection in a product-centric ecosystem.
  • Ability to engage and negotiate with key suppliers and internal stakeholders on critical contracts and services in complex and dynamic settings.
  • Experience with ERP systems, Spend Data Analytics & Reporting, eSourcing, and contract management systems.
  • Proven capability to identify and develop business cases for continuous cost reduction initiatives through should costing, process enhancements, and innovative strategies.
  • Advocacy for the Procurement and Supply Management (PSM) function within the organization to support core business objectives.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills to cultivate and sustain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex information to senior management.
  • A flexible, dynamic, self-motivated individual with the ability to think strategically and formulate future-oriented strategies for the organization.
