ROLE SUMMARY

As the Manager of Sourcing & Production, you will collaborate with the Product Development Teams to optimize productivity, adaptability, and responsiveness to business demands, all while adhering to our core product values: Quality, Service, Integrity, and Value. This role is suited for a versatile, hands-on, entrepreneurial individual who excels in thought leadership, team dynamics, and process optimization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure timely supply of manufactured goods and raw materials, consistently meeting and surpassing the Company's quality benchmarks and IMU expectations.
  • Oversee the successful execution of orders, ensuring quality, punctual delivery, and cost-effectiveness for the Company.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to facilitate the Product Development Calendar execution at both Seasonal and Store Set levels.
  • Lead and implement the Seasonal Production Plan.
  • Manage WIP report and Time & Action Calendar effectively.
  • Communicate critical issues regarding order placements or vendor performance to Senior Management and key cross-functional partners, taking collaborative and transparent actions to resolve them.
  • Foster strong relationships with cross-functional teams and vendors through exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Identify and implement improvements in production and sourcing processes for enhanced efficiency.
  • Conduct cost analysis, develop historical data, and negotiate at the placement stage for CMT and Full Package to align with financial objectives as the Company expands.
  • Manage the Company's liabilities to maintain accuracy and integrity, partnering with Design and Merchandising for prompt utilization strategies.
  • Handle chargebacks to vendors and RTVs.
  • Validate HTS classifications with the Company's Freight Forwarders.
  • Ensure compliance with all duty and taxation regulations.
  • Work with the SVP of Product to allocate styles based on vendor capabilities, capacities, performance, and profitability.
  • Build consensus with manufacturers regarding seasonal calendars.
  • Collaborate with vendors on production plans at category and style levels.
  • Act as a liaison for daily operations with vendors to ensure efficient product development, costing, production planning, manufacturing, and shipping processes.
  • Partner with the Raw Materials Team to ensure timely delivery of fabrics and materials for vendor production plans.
  • Resolve production issues during the manufacturing cycle by collaborating with Design and Merchandising Teams.
  • Negotiate capacities to support both BSR programs and the Seasonal Production Plan.
  • Evaluate vendor performance quarterly using the Vendor Scorecard.
  • Identify, assess, and recommend reliable sources that meet quality, service, and cost efficiency standards, executing dual sourcing when necessary.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production, Sourcing, and Manufacturing.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the product development process from initial design to final production, along with strong vendor management experience.
  • Proficient in vendor and location-based costing.
  • Knowledgeable in yields and garment construction.
  • Proven success in developing long-term relationships and negotiating strategic agreements for on-time, in-full deliveries that meet quality standards and margin goals.
  • Strong grasp of the technical aspects of Apparel/Footwear manufacturing.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Comfortable in a startup environment, with a creative approach to problem-solving.
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through are critical.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities in an entrepreneurial setting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive, collaborative, and transparent approach.
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
