Position Overview:

The leaders of our Housekeeping Team are tasked with training and ensuring accountability among team members to maintain a pristine, inviting atmosphere within our establishment.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Commitment:

  • Guarantee that room attendants achieve certification within 30 days and that guest rooms are consistently maintained to high standards.
  • Ensure housemen are certified within 30 days and that public areas are kept clean and welcoming.
  • Confirm laundry attendants are certified within 30 days and that linens and towels are cleaned and preserved to a high standard.
  • Employ the 5 & 10 rule when interacting with guests, ensuring eye contact, a warm smile, and a clear voice.
Team Responsibility:
  • Embody the mission by acting as a goodwill ambassador both in and out of the workplace.
  • Encourage teamwork and foster a positive work environment.
  • Conduct daily pre-shift meetings for team members, covering:
    • Daily focus
    • Updates on guest satisfaction scores, occupancy rates, TripAdvisor rankings, incoming and departing groups, special guest requests, and other relevant information.
    • Training topics for the day
    • Recognition of outstanding team members
  • Ensure effective communication between shifts to set the team up for success, addressing:
    • Guest service concerns
    • Cleanliness standards
    • Maintenance issues
    • Special events
  • Lead by example, adhering to all training protocols for the positions you oversee.
  • Conduct thorough room inspections efficiently, providing feedback on successes and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain linen inventory at a minimum of 2.5 PAR levels and ensure timely ordering.
  • Keep guest supplies stocked to support team operations while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Complete onboarding for new team members, ensuring training is finalized within 30 calendar days of hire.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Complete schedules and accommodate requests by Thursday afternoons.
  • Adhere to the attendance policy and arrive on time as scheduled.
Hotel and Personal Accountability:
  • Ensure the safety and security of guests and team members at all times, reporting any unsafe conditions or suspicious activities to hotel management.
  • Practice energy conservation consistently.
  • Report all lost and found inquiries to the Housekeeping Department.
  • Follow established key control procedures.
  • Utilize service recovery and defect tracking processes.
  • Wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Follow proper lifting and moving procedures as outlined in the Departmental Orientation Handbook.
  • Regularly engage in standing, sitting, walking, reaching, and using hands for various tasks.
  • Possess the dexterity to maneuver equipment and furniture throughout the shift.
  • Be capable of lifting, carrying, or moving up to 15 lbs. frequently.
  • Be willing to assist the laundry department as needed.
  • Wear the uniform, including nametag, at all times in accordance with the Standards of Appearance.
  • Be able to work independently.
  • Adhere to the work rules outlined in the team member handbook.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment:
  • The hotel operates 24/7, with no guaranteed shifts or schedules. Flexibility to move between shifts or work areas may be required to accommodate guest needs.
