We are seeking a skilled Power Generation Systems Commissioning Specialist to become part of our Service team within the Distribution Business Segment.

  • Deliver expert technical assistance for intricate service-related challenges.
  • Act as a technical resource, providing diagnostic support for complex warranty and non-warranty repair situations.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive repair strategies.
  • Accurately document diagnostic and repair outcomes in the designated database.
  • Manage the escalation of complex inquiries to the appropriate support level.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance diagnostic support and escalation processes.
  • Stay informed about current and emerging products and technologies.
  • Advocate for Cummins Service capabilities and programs to drive sales growth.
  • Distribute technical updates to the assigned region.
  • Investigate product-related issues at customer or dealer sites.
  • Mentor and guide technicians in the region to enhance their skills.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Diagnostic Application: Ability to translate customer feedback into troubleshooting plans, utilizing specialized tools and software to isolate and resolve issues.
  • Technical Escalation: Proficient in gathering product technical information and utilizing resources to escalate issues effectively.
  • Service Documentation: Competent in creating and verifying technical records and documenting service activities accurately.
  • Electronic Service Tool Application: Skilled in using the necessary hardware and software tools for service events.
  • Service Capability Analysis: Understanding customer expectations and applying service metrics to enhance service delivery.
  • Collaboration: Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve common goals.
  • Effective Communication: Proficient in delivering clear communications tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Complex Problem Solving: Capable of navigating intricate information to devise effective solutions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated competence in the role is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • This position may require compliance with licensing for export controls or sanctions regulations.

EXPERIENCE

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience is required, with prior experience in a technical capacity preferred.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • We are looking for a skilled Power Generation Systems Commissioning Specialist to join our Service team.
  • Lead on-site commissioning efforts for large-scale power generation projects.
  • Review and interpret complex project specifications and technical documents.
  • Provide technical guidance to technicians and sales teams.
  • Engage necessary organizational resources to meet commissioning goals.
  • Minimum of 3 years of on-site experience in the power generation sector.
  • Experience with troubleshooting Paralleling Switchgear Systems.
  • Strong communication skills for organizing and leading discussions.
  • Familiarity with electronics, data networks, and PLC systems.
