Your Responsibilities
As a Customer Engagement Specialist, you will act as a representative of our credit union, providing friendly and efficient service to members who appreciate personal interaction. Your primary role will involve:
- Establishing and nurturing relationships with members to enhance their experience.
- Exhibiting strong interpersonal skills while interacting with both members and colleagues.
- Utilizing effective verbal and nonverbal communication to assist members.
- Applying critical thinking skills to manage complex transactions.
- Educating members about our products and services.
- Prioritizing member needs and maintaining a positive demeanor during interactions.
Member Support
In this role, you will excel at understanding member needs and providing tailored solutions. Key tasks include:
- Listening attentively to members and resolving their inquiries promptly.
- Employing problem-solving skills in accordance with established guidelines.
- Utilizing training to ensure member satisfaction and strive for first-contact resolution.
Operational Duties
Adhering to all credit union policies and procedures is essential. Responsibilities will include:
- Understanding cash and check handling protocols.
- Explaining account ownership documentation to members.
- Managing loan processes from application to funding.
- Demonstrating the ability to multitask efficiently.

Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED.
- Six months to two years of relevant experience, including time in preparatory roles.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Outlook applications.
- Strong customer service skills, including effective communication, empathy, patience, and organizational abilities.
