Job Overview

Role and Responsibilities:

As the Operations Support Supervisor, you will oversee staff performance and operational workflows under the direction of the Operations Manager. Your role will be crucial in assisting with the management and supervision of all facets of our production processes. The ideal candidate will possess a background in manufacturing leadership, a solid history of enhancing operational effectiveness, and the capability to promote ongoing improvement initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily production briefings to prioritize tasks across all departments based on the job tracker and established Service Level Agreements.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to gather updates on machinery status and operational readiness.
  • Delegate tasks to operators based on operational demands, including assigning backup personnel as necessary.
  • Perform regular walkthroughs of the production area to ensure safety, equipment functionality, and staff recognition.
  • Ensure that Daily Production documentation is completed as scheduled and in accordance with established SLAs, escalating any issues to management.
  • Regularly inspect all departments for quality assurance, comparing work orders with quality checks.
  • Facilitate monthly discussions with management regarding production metrics, performance evaluations, areas for improvement, and employee recognition.
  • Adhere to all current and future security and compliance regulations.

Strategic Leadership: Formulate and execute strategic initiatives to enhance manufacturing operations, improve efficiency, and meet organizational objectives.

Team Management: Lead and guide the manufacturing operations team, including production managers, supervisors, and support personnel.

Operational Excellence: Foster a culture of operational excellence by implementing best practices, lean manufacturing techniques, and continuous improvement strategies.

Resource Planning: Work with cross-functional teams to create production schedules that align with sales forecasts, inventory levels, and customer requirements.

Quality Assurance: Develop and uphold stringent quality control protocols to ensure products meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations.

Cost Management: Create and oversee budgets, managing expenses while maximizing production efficiency and maintaining quality benchmarks.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, environmental standards, and safety protocols, collaborating with regulatory agencies as necessary.

Supply Chain Collaboration: Partner with the supply chain team to enhance material procurement, inventory oversight, and supplier relationships.

Technology Integration: Assess and implement new technologies and systems to improve manufacturing processes, enhance data analytics, and promote automation where applicable.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and devise strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the stability of manufacturing operations.


Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality assurance, and supply chain management.
  • Experience as a team member across the entire production operation, with proficiency in operating all equipment.

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Education/Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience (typically 3+ years) in management, with a history of increasing responsibilities.
