We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Principal Engineer to join our Energetics and Propulsion Department in Tucson, Arizona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing advanced technologies and concepts for fuzing devices, controllers, software, mechanical, and electrical interfaces for integration into missile systems and space vehicles.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and integrate fuzing systems for missile and space vehicle applications
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop fuzing devices and systems
- Lead the development of fuzing trade studies and cost estimates
- Work with subcontractors to design and manufacture fuzing devices
- Manage fuzing device development projects and propulsion subcontracts
- Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related field, and 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree and 7 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in fuzing / one shots / engineering technology and/or engineering design
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related science degree
- 12 or more years of directly related experience in fuzing devices and their applications
- Systems knowledge to assure full development of fuzing device requirements and dissemination and flow down to subcomponent levels
- Ability to perform fuzing trade studies evaluating different electrical designs and estimate design and production cost and schedule
