Position Overview:
Nightwing is seeking a dedicated and innovative Automation Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role focuses on the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions and advanced IIoT technologies to enhance our manufacturing capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automation systems including robotics, PLCs, HMIs, and vision systems.
- Integrate automation solutions with business systems, primarily utilizing Ignition.
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to drive innovation and enhance operational efficiency.
- Quantify business value and present automation initiatives to leadership.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to execute automation projects successfully.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field; Master's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, systems engineering, or automation engineering.
- Proficiency in programming Fanuc Robots and Rockwell PLCs.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in automation mechanisms and robotics.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Existing DoD Secret clearance.
- Experience with I4.0 principles and Smart Factory technologies.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and HMI design tools.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols such as Ethernet/IP and TCP/IP.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
