The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer will play a pivotal role in assisting the leadership team of the Electro-Optical Sensors and Precision Assembly Factory by driving factory-wide initiatives.

This position involves enhancing factory operations by addressing technical and logistical challenges, implementing corrective measures for quality control, and optimizing design and manufacturing processes.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize manufacturing engineering expertise across the value stream to identify and resolve bottlenecks, enhancing both process and product designs.
  • Apply technical knowledge to influence business outcomes from initial designs through to ongoing production.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team to design, manage, and enhance product manufacturability.
  • Lead and coordinate projects and improvements across the entire value stream.
  • Serve as the authority on manufacturing and producibility within the program.
  • Identify and address constraints throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Engage in corrective action investigations and provide technical insights on engineering design modifications.
  • Offer guidance and problem-solving support to factory engineers.

Qualifications Required:

Applicants typically need a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) along with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Eligibility to obtain and maintain an Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Access (ATF) is essential.

U.S. citizenship is required for obtaining a government-issued security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate cost, quality, and scheduling constraints through technical engagement.
  • Familiarity with factory and program performance metrics.
  • Experience working in or leading cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and enhancing technical drawings.
  • Experience in technical writing and familiarity with MRP systems, including SAP.
  • Knowledge of DOD financial reporting systems, including EAC and EVMS processes.
  • Experience in teaching, training, or mentoring junior engineers in manufacturing systems.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to varied audiences.
  • Current DOD Security Clearance is a plus.
