Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Human Resources Analyst to join our team at the City and County of San Francisco. As a key member of our Human Resources department, you will play a critical role in supporting the hiring, development, and retention of our workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruitment and Examinations: Prepare job advertisements, process applications, and construct, administer, and score examinations to ensure a highly qualified workforce.
  • Classification and Compensation: Conduct investigations and surveys to ensure equity and wage parity goals are met, and recommend changes to class specifications as needed.
  • Employee and/or Labor Relations: Ensure consistent compliance with collective bargaining agreements, negotiate resolutions to grievances, and investigate complaints of serious employee misconduct.
  • Benefits Administration: Manage the City's employee benefits program, including health insurance, retirement accounts, vacations, paid time off, and parental leave.
  • Human Resources Operations: Process new hires, facilitate employee transfers, and administer fair and consistent employee discipline.
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Develop employee resources and training, lead diversity recruitment efforts, and create and monitor DEI benchmarks.
  • Personnel Training: Facilitate training and workshops on supervision and leadership, team building, and career development.
Requirements
  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Three years of verifiable professional human resources experience in one or more of the following areas: recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee and/or labor relations, benefits administration, human resources operations, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and personnel training.
  • Substitutions: Additional qualifying work experience or completion of a human resources trainee program may be substituted for up to two years of the required education or experience.
