The Arc Eastern Connecticut is seeking a dedicated and compassionate In-Home Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating the independence and well-being of individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Personal Care and Daily Activities: Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as meal preparation, personal care, and household management.
- Community Involvement: Accompany individuals on outings in the community, promoting socialization and community integration.
- Transportation and Support: Provide transportation to recreational and community activities, ensuring safe and reliable transportation.
- Therapeutic and Behavioral Support: Support and implement therapeutic and behavioral plans, promoting positive behaviors and outcomes.
- Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED, with prior experience working with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities preferred.
- Skills and Qualifications: Ability to mentor and assist individuals in all areas of life skills, including recreation, independence, communication, and health. Valid driver's license required.
- Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm.
