Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate In-Home Support Specialist to join our team at The Arc Eastern Connecticut. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in facilitating the independence and well-being of individuals with developmental and physical disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support with activities such as meal preparation, personal care, and community involvement.
  • Accompany individuals on outings and provide transportation to recreational and community activities.
  • Support therapeutic and behavioral plans, promoting positive outcomes and growth.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a seamless and supportive environment.
Requirements
  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred.
  • Ability to mentor and assist individuals in all areas of life skills, including recreation, independence, communication, and health.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • High School Diploma or GED and basic computer aptitude.
  • Ability to speak and write in English.
