Job Description

The Arc Eastern Connecticut is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Professional to join our team. As a Support Professional, you will play a vital role in facilitating the independence and well-being of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver personalized support and assistance to participants in areas such as personal care, daily living skills, and social skills.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of individualized support plans, ensuring the unique needs and goals of each participant are met.
  • Administer prescribed medications and maintain accurate documentation, including program data, incident reports, and health records.
  • Ensure the health and safety of participants, including prevention of abuse, CPR, and first aid.
  • Provide transportation to recreational and community activities, and prepare meals following published menus.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with individuals with developmental and physical disabilities is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and high school diploma or GED are required.
  • Basic computer aptitude and English language proficiency are essential.
