ROLE SUMMARY

The position of Retail Sales Associate and Local Marketing Coordinator is a part-time, hourly role based in our Boston Seaport retail location.

As a Mountain Studio Retail Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional brand experience to our customers. Your responsibilities will include providing outstanding customer service, showcasing your knowledge of our brand story and products, and engaging with customers to enhance their shopping experience. You will be part of a dynamic team committed to fostering connections, providing top-notch product education, and sharing a passion for our offerings.

In your capacity as a Local Marketing Coordinator, you will focus on establishing and nurturing meaningful local partnerships and events throughout the year to enhance brand visibility, drive traffic, and increase revenue. This role provides an excellent opportunity for individuals to learn about the Stio brand, collaborate with our marketing team, and engage with the community to strengthen our brand presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Mountain Studio Sales Associate Duties:

  • Create an inviting atmosphere for customers in our retail space.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information regarding Stio products, promotions, and pricing.
  • Maintain the visual appeal of the store through regular cleaning, display organization, and general tidiness.
  • Handle inventory shipments, restock merchandise on the sales floor, and keep the back-stock organized.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale system to efficiently process transactions, including payments and refunds.
  • Perform additional operational tasks, such as answering customer inquiries.

Local Marketing Coordinator Duties:

  • Develop and implement local partnerships, events, and activations that align with Stio's brand objectives and goals.
  • Plan marketing placements and event schedules for the year, managing contracts and budgets in collaboration with the Mountain Studio Manager.
  • Work alongside the Mountain Studio Manager to oversee the retail marketing budget, focusing on initiatives that maximize return on investment.
  • Coordinate creative asset requests and event planning with local and HQ teams.
  • Serve as the point of contact for the local landlord marketing group.
  • Track and report metrics regularly, using data to assess ROI and inform future strategies.
  • Ensure reliable transportation to and from the Mountain Studio location and off-site events.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment.
  • Passion for community engagement and experience in project management or event coordination.
  • Understanding of the Stio brand and ability to identify partnership opportunities.
  • Preferred experience in retail, sales, or service roles.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays, including participation in key events.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Proactive attitude and eagerness to contribute to a growing team.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and POS systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel is advantageous.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Ability to navigate the retail space and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel locally for business development.
  • This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position.

  • Hourly compensation ranges from $18 to $22, depending on experience.
