POSITION SUMMARY

The Retail Sales Associate and Local Marketing Coordinator position is a part-time role based in our Boston Seaport location. This unique position combines responsibilities in retail sales with local marketing initiatives.

As a Retail Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in delivering an exceptional brand experience to our customers. You will be expected to provide outstanding customer service, which encompasses a deep understanding of our brand narrative and product offerings, engaging with customers, and driving sales. Our Sales Associates are integral to fostering a cohesive team environment that prioritizes customer connection, top-notch product education, and a genuine passion for our offerings.

In your capacity as a Local Marketing Coordinator, you will focus on establishing and nurturing significant local partnerships and events throughout the year to enhance brand visibility, increase foot traffic, and drive revenue. This role provides an excellent opportunity for professional growth, allowing you to collaborate with Mountain Studio leadership and the local retail team while learning about the Stio brand and engaging with our marketing team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Retail Sales Associate Duties:

  • Create an inviting atmosphere for customers in our retail space.
  • Provide knowledgeable insights regarding Stio products, promotions, and pricing.
  • Maintain the visual appeal of the store through regular cleaning, display organization, and aesthetic upkeep.
  • Handle inventory shipments, restock items on the sales floor, and keep the back-stock organized.
  • Utilize the Point of Sale system to efficiently process transactions, including payments and exchanges.
  • Perform additional operational tasks, such as answering inquiries and managing customer service requests.

Local Marketing Coordinator Duties:

  • Develop and execute impactful partnerships, events, and marketing initiatives that align with Stio's brand values and objectives.
  • Plan and manage the marketing calendar and event schedules, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Collaborate with the Mountain Studio Manager to oversee the retail marketing budget, focusing on maximizing return on investment.
  • Coordinate creative asset requests and event planning, working closely with both local and HQ teams.
  • Serve as the point of contact for local marketing groups and manage communication effectively.
  • Track and report on marketing metrics, using data to assess effectiveness and inform future strategies.
  • Possess reliable transportation for travel to various locations as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for all customers.
  • Demonstrated passion for community engagement and experience in project management or event coordination.
  • Familiarity with the Stio brand and the ability to identify potential partnerships.
  • Prior experience in retail, sales, or customer service is preferred.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays, including participation in key events.
  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to contribute to a growing team.
  • Proficiency in computer skills and experience with POS systems.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Excel is advantageous.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • Ability to navigate the retail environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to travel locally to build community relationships.
  • This position is part-time, hourly, and non-exempt.

  • Hourly compensation ranges from $18 to $22, based on experience.
