You will be part of the Spend and Service Quality team under CVSQ with experience interpreting, diagnosing, and prioritizing service issues in our suite of ECUs and finding near term (ICAs) and long term (PCA) solutions. There will be some program management needs to enforce quick turn around on these solutions, so experience with these components is a plus.

We are looking for a Software Service Quality Engineer to be a part of the CVSQ Spend and Service team. This team provides solutions to our Dealer and technician base offering up quick turnaround solutions and communication to our most complex software designs which targets of getting our customer's vehicles back on the road as quick as possible.

Focus for this position will require experience and understanding of Key off Load/Power Supply concerns and capabilities to help triage.

You'll have...

Bachelor's Degree or related degree is required, or foreign equivalency degree, or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
2+ years of experience as D&R, Systems engineering, or equivalent and supporting Power supply or power management.
1+ year of working experience in Data Analysis
2+ years of working experience in Service Tools/Applications (such as FDRS, PTS, workshop manuals)
2+ years of experience working with Engineering tools and databases (Diagnostic Engineering Tool, IVS, VADR)
2+ years of experience with Quality methodologies (Root Cause Analysis, triage capabilities 8D, Fishbone, Is/Is Not, 3 legged 5 why, etc.)
2+ years of experience working in a team collaboration environment with upper management and peers.
Good Presentation skills and experience with Management reviews.

What you'll do...

Responsibilities include delivery of service solutions for the CVS organization on all components in the F1 function. The intent is to quickly resolve service solutions, Hardware or software, related to one of our core commodities (Vehicle Controls, In-Vehicle Entertainment, Connectivity, and ADAS). Service Engineer must be able to understand our FCSD service tools, how to triage service issues, and the basic architectural aspects of how our ECU components are put together (both software and hardware). This service engineer must be able to manage all issues in this space and escalate when required for quick turnaround. This work effort may drive development and delivery of analytic and statistical models using skills such as data acquisition and management, algorithm design, and model development & refinement.

This Service Engineer must work with their quality and engineering partners using a collaborative, agile approach to develop solutions rapidly that add value and are centered around the user experience. At times, this team member must act as a data analyst and analytics engineer to develop mathematical, analytical, optimization and/or AI/ML models to support evidence-based decision making. Ensure overall quality of the data & solutions throughout the analytic development process and support deploying them as end-to-end products on Google Cloud Platform.

This V19 service engineer will support the Management Lease Vehicle (MLV) data mining efforts across our portfolio focusing on solutions to resolve our power supply and KOL concerns including the following:
Monitoring MLV Bugs reports for anomalies that can harm stability of our vehicle software in the field.
Identifying and tracking new issues that should be investigated for design improvements.
Managing open issues that improve data quality within our fleet
Lead/support investigations that would help expedite root cause
Escalating aging issues to management of more than 30 days.
