Job Title: Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team at Petra Construction Corporation.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction process, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Supervise and train construction staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Monitor and control costs, ensuring projects are completed within budget.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects meet design and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Prepare and submit reports, including project status updates, budget variances, and safety incidents.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial projects.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience in constructing new buildings from ground-up through close-out preferred.
  • Experience renovating existing structures from demolition through close-out.
  • Prior healthcare facility and laboratory renovation experience desired.
  • Effective time management and communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and analyze construction drawings and specifications.
  • OSHA 10 required, OSHA 30 preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
