Job Overview

Petra Construction Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction process from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and coordinate construction activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation;
  • Supervise and train construction staff, including foremen, carpenters, and laborers;
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies;
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve design and construction issues;
  • Monitor and report on project progress, including budget, schedule, and quality;
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure high-quality construction;
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement project plans;
  • Manage and maintain accurate records, including project documentation, schedules, and budgets;
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve construction efficiency and productivity;
  • Ensure that all construction activities are conducted in a safe and environmentally responsible manner;
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes;
  • Participate in business development activities, including marketing and sales efforts;
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices;
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction management, with a focus on commercial construction;
  • High school graduate or equivalent;
  • OSHA 10 certification required, OSHA 30 preferred;
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred;
  • Strong communication and leadership skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills;
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities;
  • Strong knowledge of construction laws, regulations, and industry standards;
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information;
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software;
  • Ability to travel to project sites and attend meetings as needed.
