Position Overview

NORTH SUFFOLK COMMUNITY SERVICES INC is seeking a dedicated Administrative Assistant to enhance our team. The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in providing administrative assistance and ensuring smooth front desk operations for our Outpatient Mental Health clinic.

In this position, you will serve as the welcoming and professional face of our organization, greeting all visitors and clients, and being an integral part of our Records & Receptions team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and check in all visitors and clients at the clinic.
  • Gather health insurance details, manage co-payments, and handle cash transactions.
  • Coordinate and confirm appointments efficiently.
  • Respond to clinic phone calls and direct them appropriately.
  • Assist in maintaining client Electronic Health Records (EHR) by updating charts and scanning documents.
  • Ensure that client billing and health insurance information is accurate and current.
  • Oversee general office maintenance, including requesting repairs, ordering supplies, and coordinating office tasks.
  • Provide coverage for other clinic locations as needed.
Qualifications
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED is required; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior office experience, particularly in a healthcare environment, along with strong computer skills is essential.
  • Skills: Bilingual in Spanish is required. Please indicate language proficiency in your application.
