We are seeking a highly skilled Graphic Design Specialist to join our team at the Texas Department of Public Safety. As a key member of our creative team, you will be responsible for designing and developing visual materials that effectively communicate our agency's goals and values.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement visual concepts that convey complex ideas and promote our agency's mission.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to establish design direction and create engaging visual materials.
- Design and produce a wide range of visual materials, including brochures, posters, certificates, and other printed materials.
- Stay up-to-date with current design trends and best practices, and apply this knowledge to our visual materials.
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent, plus one year of training in a full-time accredited program with an emphasis in graphic design or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of full-time work experience in some phase of graphic design.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders and team members.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of graphic design principles and best practices.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
This position requires the ability to work in a standard office environment, with occasional travel to meetings and events. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, and will be able to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results in a timely manner.
