Position Overview

The Communications Department at Central Health is comprised of a diverse group of skilled professionals. The role of the Graphic Designer is vital within this team, directly reporting to the Creative Services Manager. This position requires a unique creative vision and a talent for producing outstanding designs that effectively bring ideas to life across various platforms. The Graphic Designer will work collaboratively with multiple departments to generate impactful visual materials that clearly convey our mission and objectives to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establishes a comprehensive graphics asset library featuring consistently styled and easily understandable designs suitable for diverse media across the Central Health organization.
  • Creates and designs promotional materials that reflect Central Health's mission and services in both print and digital formats, including flyers, infographics, advertisements, fact sheets, reports, presentations, brochures, booklets, and graphics for social media and video, utilizing content and data provided by other team members.
  • Generates multiple design concepts for graphic assignments and presents them to stakeholders or team members.
  • Collects information and resources for creative projects and assists in drafting creative briefs.
  • Produces conceptual content (graphics, illustrations, and other design elements) for Central Health's online platforms and social media.
  • Designs presentations to enhance internal and external communications (PowerPoint, Keynote).
  • Creates e-newsletters, cards, letterhead, reports, and other communication tools as required for the Central Health organization.
  • Maintains brand standards and guidelines for the Central Health organization.
  • Designs templates and assets for social media channels and informational sheets.
  • Assists in generating analytics reports for creative services and campaigns.
  • Collaborates with Central Health's advertising and public relations consultants.
  • Works independently and as part of a team to develop marketing collateral.
  • Oversees brand management and the overall graphic design aesthetic of the organization.
  • Ensures quality assurance for graphic production and brand consistency.
  • Manages the workflow of creative projects throughout the organization.
  • Partners with creative and advertising vendors to design and produce a variety of deliverables.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in translating complex concepts and data into elegant, modern graphic assets.
  • Strong understanding of design, advertising, and marketing strategies, including graphic design principles, layout, and typography essentials.
  • Familiarity with digital communication concepts and web design principles.
  • Proficient in designing for PowerPoint and/or Keynote.
  • Experience with Mac OS and Microsoft Office, Keynote, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Illustration capabilities.
  • Proficient in print production and quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to think critically and conceptually while clearly articulating vision.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, responsible, with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to research and interpret complex information, transforming it into clear, engaging, and visually appealing communication tools.
  • Capability to efficiently gather and organize information to assist in designing communication elements.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects, deadlines, and information sources.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in graphic design or a related field is required.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of full-time experience in-house or in an agency setting in design, advertising, marketing, public relations, or a related field is required.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, for at least 7 years is required.
  • 7 years of experience in design, layout, infographics, production, and project management for digital, print, and campaigns is required.
  • Experience in creating and manipulating multimedia projects, including photography, text, and digital artwork is required.
  • 6 years of experience with branding, social media design, illustration, and photo/video editing is preferred.
  • Experience with motion graphics (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is preferred.
