About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President of Pharmacy Strategy and Business Development to join our team at Gainwell Technologies. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving the pharmacy business segment strategy, P&L, and growth goals, as well as external partnerships, vendor relationships, and RFP & contract strategy/alignment to operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with SVP of Pharmacy to drive business strategy and business development.
  • Serve as an industry expert on GainwellRx, interfacing with external clients, vendors, and business partners.
  • Oversee team focused on pharmacy strategy and business development.
  • Align RFP/contract deliverables to business performance and technology strategy, partnering with sales, product, and implementation.
  • Assess market trends and needs of clients, driving alignment to business strategy and execution.
  • Support forward-thinking business strategies, plans, and execution.
  • Align opportunity and innovation pipeline to business forecasts.
  • Drive sales support model and account training strategy for pharmacy.
  • Collaborate across account teams, sales teams, product teams, and other shared service functions.
  • Motivate teams through change and high-profile projects and initiatives.
  • Manage talent, staffing, and performance of organization.
  • Ensure alignment with company and industry standards.
  • Oversee key initiatives and drive insight development.
  • Serve as a key leader in the pharmacy business interfacing with state pharmacy teams and representatives.
  • Drive new ideas, partners with states on new concepts, and works with teams to deliver models to support them.
  • Support evolution of organization and key areas of focus.
  • Partner with marketing on external message and client team materials.
Requirements
  • Advanced degree or significant related experience.
  • 15+ years of pharmacy-related experience.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience, managing and supervising high-potential talent.
  • Key skillsets tied to pharmacy analysis, data, reporting, and financial analysis.
  • Experience interacting with clients in the healthcare industry.
  • Track record of leadership of teams and projects spanning people, process, and technology.
  • Experience managing departmental budgets, forecasts, and business performance.
  • Excellent communications skills, with ability to communicate externally and with senior leaders and C-suite executives.
  • Ability to drive business development, contracting, and negotiations.
  • Innovative forward thinker with excellent leadership skills.
