About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President of Pharmacy Rebate Strategy and Operations to join our team at Gainwell Technologies. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving state rebate performance and strategies, serving as an industry expert on Medicaid rebates, and leading diverse teams to drive rebate-related business processes and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with the SVP of Pharmacy to drive state rebate performance and strategies
  • Serve as an industry expert on Medicaid rebates, interfacing with external clients, partners, and pharmaceutical manufacturers
  • Lead diverse teams, including expert pharmacists, technology/reporting, rebate analysts, and financial analysts
  • Drive rebate-related business processes, performance, and insights for clients
  • Own pharmaceutical manufacturer relationships, invoicing, and contracting
  • Set the direction of PDL and rebate strategy and focus for the organization and drive alignment across technology and external facing teams
  • Drive organizational alignment around PDL & rebates, supports state RFPs, and client-facing materials
  • Set technology focus and investment strategies, with ownership of business requirements
  • Become a Gainwell expert in state and federal rebates, CMS 64 reporting, and alignment with state fiscal processes
  • Collaborate across account teams, sales teams, product teams, and other shared service functions
  • Drive industry best practices and model delivery for key functions while managing to key metrics of business performance
  • Accountable for operating performance
  • Motivate teams through change and high-profile projects and initiatives
  • Manage talent, staffing, and performance of organization
  • Ensure alignment with company and industry standards
  • Oversee key initiatives and drive insight development
  • Serve as a key leader in the pharmacy business interfacing with state pharmacy teams and representatives
  • Responsible for client reporting and alignment
  • Drive new ideas, partners with states on new concepts, and works with teams to deliver models to support them
  • Support the evolution of the organization and key areas of focus
Requirements
  • Advanced degree or significant related experience
  • 15+ years of pharmacy-related experience
  • 10+ years leading large teams and organizations
  • Key skillsets tied to pharmacy analysis, data, reporting, and financial analysis
  • Experience interacting with clients in the healthcare industry
  • Experience with preferred drug lists or formularies and drug rebates
  • Track record of leadership of teams and projects spanning people, process, and technology
  • Experience managing departmental budgets and driving process improvement
  • Excellent communications skills, with ability to communicate externally and with senior leaders and C-suite executives
  • Experience driving business development and contracting
  • Innovative forward thinker with excellent leadership skills
