Overview:


As a performance-oriented Store Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the overall success of your location and team by establishing high standards for operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

Your role will involve continuous coaching and development of your team to achieve company goals, enhance revenue, and refine their capabilities while exemplifying strong leadership.

Reporting to the District Director of Operations, you will manage marketing initiatives for your store, advocate for security and loss prevention measures, ensure compliance with quality standards, and review all transactions to cultivate an environment conducive to growth and innovation.


Responsibilities:


Guide, mentor, and develop all store personnel to acquire new business and drive store expansion by imparting knowledge of and training on systems, company standards, account management, collections, job responsibilities, and performance evaluations.


Take the lead and set a benchmark for all store staff to identify local marketing strategies, leverage business-to-business partnerships, secure referrals, and engage in community and in-store events to stimulate growth and enhance revenue.

Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and local and state regulations. Review loan/pawn agreements and transactions to guarantee staff adherence to established practices. Participate in audits and compliance assessments as directed by the corporate office or District Manager.


Oversee and uphold store security, including cash management and loss prevention, by verifying and documenting cash discrepancies, vault activities, inventory, deposits, and expenditures.

Execute proper opening and closing procedures.

Assess, evaluate, and process loan/pawn applications and all pertinent transactions, while managing risk within defined limits.
Engage in the selection, evaluation, hiring, and retention of new team members.

Develop work schedules in alignment with budgetary constraints, workloads, and store requirements. Ensure the store is adequately staffed for optimal performance.

Address complex customer situations with integrity and professionalism.

Monitor and maintain store aesthetics and address basic facility needs, including scheduling maintenance services.


Operate efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, managing multiple challenging tasks with ease to meet both individual and team performance benchmarks.

Utilize strong interpersonal skills to communicate and engage with customers and team members at all levels.


Availability for a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance, including some weekend hours, is essential for this position.

A full-time work schedule for this role typically encompasses a minimum of 45 hours per week*.

*Store hours, schedules, and/or the minimum number of hours required for this position may be subject to change by brand entity and at the sole discretion of the company. Consult with your recruiter for the most current hourly requirements.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Minimum of two years of experience and demonstrated success in a supervisory or leadership capacity within retail, financial, service, or related sectors
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in phone systems, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other relevant systems
Must be at least 18 years of age (19 in Alabama)
Background check required (subject to applicable law)

Ability to meet the physical demands of this position, which frequently include:

the ability to remain in a stationary position, including standing up to 90% of the time, the ability to move and transport up to 25 pounds, the ability to navigate inside and outside of the store, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Associate degree or higher
Experience in check cashing, document verification, money order processing
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus and may be required for certain locations
