Job Overview:
As a Senior Cybersecurity Assurance Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the information assurance initiatives of our organization. Your expertise will be essential in proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing robust cybersecurity policies, standards, and methodologies. You will ensure that the operational security posture of our information systems is maintained effectively, adhering to established security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior ISSOs in the implementation and enforcement of cybersecurity policies and standards.
  • Support the preparation and upkeep of essential documentation.
  • Evaluate security solutions to confirm compliance with requirements for handling classified information.
  • Manage Configuration Management (CM) for cybersecurity software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Maintain comprehensive records on various IT infrastructure components including workstations, servers, and network devices.
  • Coordinate and implement cybersecurity policies and methodologies.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for Security Authorization in alignment with applicable policies.
  • Ensure compliance with established system security policies.
  • Maintain the operational security posture of information systems.
  • Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in achieving the required cybersecurity posture.
  • Assist in the development and updating of system security plans and related documentation.
  • Oversee daily security operations and manage security aspects of the information system.
  • Ensure appropriate user identification and authentication mechanisms are in place.
  • Facilitate system authorization processes for information systems.
  • Plan and coordinate the implementation of IT security programs and policies.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to contractor ISSOs.
  • Engage with stakeholders to define and achieve cybersecurity objectives.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess a minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in IT, cybersecurity, or security authorization. Proficiency in at least two of the following areas is required: knowledge of contemporary security tools, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, or encryption techniques. Familiarity with commercial security products, security authorization methods, incident management, and PKI services is essential. Compliance with DoD M and a minimum certification of IAM Level I is mandatory.

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, or IT Engineering is required.
  • Alternatively, four (4) additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

Work Environment:
This position operates within a professional office setting, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands:
This role is primarily sedentary, involving prolonged periods of sitting; however, some filing may be necessary, requiring the ability to move files or boxes and perform light lifting.

Mental Demands:
Effective reading and communication skills (both verbal and written) are crucial, along with the ability to maintain professionalism and emotional control.
