POSITION SUMMARY

Collaborate with fellow members of the Security team and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Everence, contributing to the oversight and management of the Everence Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system along with various security and risk management tools utilized within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Engage with the Everence SIEM/Security Operations Center (SOC), developing and refining rules, alerts, and dashboards as necessary.
  2. Aggregate security incidents and event data to generate comprehensive monthly reports.
  3. Scrutinize system logs, SIEM applications, and network traffic for any irregular or suspicious behavior.
  4. Oversee the Everence Web Filtering system and manage exceptions in accordance with established standards.
  5. Administer and supervise Everence's physical security infrastructure, including surveillance cameras and security systems.
  6. Support the Everence phishing awareness initiative.
  7. Assist in the management of Everence's email encryption and web filtering processes.
  8. Review and analyze Everence's security reports regularly.
  9. Maintain the inventory system for Everence assets.
  10. Manage the application code scanning tools utilized by Everence.
  11. Undertake additional projects and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

Familiarity with web-based programming languages is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  1. Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information professionally and courteously across all organizational levels.
  2. Possess a foundational understanding of programming and scripting tools for administrative tasks.
  3. Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and familiarity with REST APIs is advantageous.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to adhere to strict deadlines.
  5. Capable of managing multiple tasks, with a keen attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  6. Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  7. Work collaboratively as part of a team and fulfill additional duties as required.
  8. Maintain confidentiality regarding company and client information.
  9. Commitment to continuous skill enhancement and staying informed about company products and services for professional development.
