Job Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Migration Systems Specialist to contribute to a cloud transition initiative within a government contract. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in systems integration coupled with experience in cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the architecture and oversight of cloud systems, applications, network operations, policies, and strategic planning.
  • Establish technical direction and roadmap for cloud transitions. Oversee the transition strategy, including technical solutions, implementation, operational improvements, and adaptation of cloud processes.
  • Maintain current and comprehensive knowledge of cloud products and technologies. Provide guidance on best cloud practices and architectural methodologies.
  • Design and modify scalable architectures to support applications and infrastructure on cloud service platforms.
  • Evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions for the organization. Develop a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaptation process, incorporating security management and privacy considerations into cloud hardware, software, and applications. Design controls and processes utilizing available audit tools.
  • Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle steps to achieve system authorization and operation. Assist in cybersecurity assessment and authorization processes to obtain system authorization to operate.
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders and third parties to interpret technical requirements, standards/policies, architectural artifacts, implementation, budget development, program briefs, and status tracking.

Qualifications:

  • Current active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as:
    • CompTIA Cloud+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Azure Fundamentals, etc.
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect.
  • IAT II certifications such as:
    • CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP.
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a government setting.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Experience in migrating from legacy systems and deploying complex cloud-based solutions, including the architecture, implementation, and optimization of core infrastructure, networking, and cloud services.
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture, application integration, IaaS/PaaS/SaaS solutions, and Agile software development methodologies.
  • Experience in implementing DevSecOps and Agile standards and practices.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical topics to senior decision-makers. Prepare and deliver presentations to leadership.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and web-based applications.

Work Location: On-site with potential for some remote work.

Travel Requirements: Some travel may be necessary.
