As a Lead Auditor, you will play a vital role in supporting the mission of the Georgia Department of Public Health.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct audits with minimal oversight.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in designated areas.
  • Act as a liaison, effectively communicating with relevant organizations.
  • Review financial documentation to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Examine financial records for adherence to accepted accounting practices and regulations.
  • Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of financial systems and procedures.
  • Develop or maintain audit policies and procedures, ensuring quality control.
  • Supervise junior staff and support personnel as needed.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and statements to evaluate fiscal health.
  • Research data and compile final monitoring reports, addressing any financial discrepancies.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field from an accredited institution, along with two (2) years of relevant professional experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership capacity; OR
Six (6) years of relevant professional experience, including one (1) year in a supervisory or leadership role; OR
One (1) year of experience in a comparable auditing position.
