About the Role

Carr Riggs & Ingram is seeking a highly skilled Audit Senior to join our team. As an Audit Senior, you will play a key role in providing high-quality audit services to our clients, ensuring their financial statements are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Statement Audits: Perform diversified accounting and auditing assignments, including planning and scheduling client engagements, preparing and indexing working papers, and verifying accuracy and validity of client financial matters.
  • GAAP and Auditing Standards: Develop a command of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), other comprehensive bases of accounting, unique or specialized accounting principles, and financial statement presentations. Obtain a thorough understanding of generally accepted auditing standards and common audit procedures and techniques.
  • Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients to receive information necessary to complete the engagement with a minimum of disruption to the client.
  • Team Collaboration: Work well in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues to deliver high-quality audit services.
Requirements
  • CPA Certification: Meet all requirements to sit for the CPA exam. Those possessing CPA certification will be given preference.
  • Public Accounting Experience: Minimum of 3 years in public accounting, demonstrating a progression in complexity of auditing and accounting tasks, as well as having in-charge engagements.
  • Accounting Software: Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Organizational and Analytical Abilities: Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
