Position Summary

The Senior Manager of Retail Operations will report directly to the Head of Retail and will be responsible for overseeing the daily operational activities of our retail locations. This role involves identifying key opportunities for growth and operational enhancements. The incumbent will lead the General Management team across various stores, focusing on optimizing P&L management, which encompasses labor efficiency, operational costs, and revenue growth.

This position will ensure that all retail locations adhere to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and will work towards implementing best practices across the board. The Senior Manager will also play a pivotal role in fostering leadership development within the organization, creating pathways for professional advancement, and reinforcing a positive team culture aligned with the company's vision and mission.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic direction and mentorship to General Managers to enhance profitability.
  • Regularly communicate financial performance and key metrics to General Managers, offering coaching for improvement.
  • Monitor and report on financial targets, including Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Conduct regular store visits to assess operations during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Uphold cleanliness and organizational standards across all retail locations.
  • Deliver comprehensive business analyses and prepare monthly and quarterly reviews for senior leadership.
  • Assist General Managers in addressing operational challenges.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture by recognizing and retaining top talent.
  • Support General Managers in creating an engaging and high-morale work environment.
  • Continuously provide insights and recommendations to enhance sales strategies and operational efficiencies.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for General Managers on an annual or periodic basis.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and assist in establishing quarterly objectives.
  • Collaborate with General Managers and HR Business Partners to resolve employee relations matters.
  • Review and approve relevant expenses and invoices as they are submitted.


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversee General Managers in Sacramento, Stockton, and San Francisco.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in multi-unit retail management.
  • Proficient in retail analytics and P&L analysis.
  • Experience in strategic sales and retail operations.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • A valid driver's license and personal transportation may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Normal vision range and ability to distinguish colors.

  • Normal hearing range.

Compensation Overview: The annual salary for this role ranges from $100,000 to $125,000, with variations based on qualifications, skills, and experience. This compensation is part of a comprehensive package recognizing employee contributions.
