POSITION SUMMARY:

The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Manager to cultivate a customer and product-driven sales environment. This position is pivotal in managing sales operations, safeguarding assets, and overseeing human resources functions to ensure an outstanding customer experience and optimal profitability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performance Management
  • Evaluate sales metrics and KPIs to identify business needs; collaborate with the Store Manager to implement effective sales strategies.
  • Set and communicate clear expectations, holding the store team accountable for meeting brand standards and performance goals.
  • Manage payroll and inventory budgets effectively.
  • Oversee essential operational tasks including scheduling, shrink audits, inventory management, and payroll accuracy.
  • Conduct all financial transactions in compliance with company policies, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to legal regulations, loss prevention policies, and operational procedures; provide training to associates on proper controls.
  • Administer operational processes such as inventory receipt and daily merchandise replenishment.
  • Maintain visual merchandising and store organization in alignment with brand standards.
  • Foster a high-performance culture, motivating the sales team to achieve sales and productivity targets.
  • Train and mentor the sales team on product knowledge and customer engagement techniques.

Team Development
  • Inspire and motivate the store team, promoting a shared vision while exemplifying core values.
  • Encourage a collaborative approach to problem-solving within the team.
  • Communicate effectively with the store team and Store Manager to drive positive changes.
  • Pursue personal development opportunities and actively seek feedback to enhance leadership skills.

Customer Engagement
  • Exemplify and promote the principles of exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
  • Demonstrate sales techniques and share product knowledge with customers; assist in product selection based on customer preferences.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns promptly.
  • Ensure an efficient checkout experience, staying informed on policies regarding payments, returns, and exchanges.
  • Encourage team members to maintain consistent communication with clients through customer engagement initiatives.

Talent Management
  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing a high-performing team.
  • Support and implement training programs to enhance team skills.
  • Evaluate and coach team performance regularly.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to address human resources matters effectively.

This role may encompass various responsibilities across different brands, and duties may vary accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in retail management preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to adapt to technology utilized by the company.
  • Proven track record in customer service and sales leadership.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and team-building skills.
  • Knowledge of administrative functions related to store operations.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff.
  • Regular attendance is essential to meet company objectives; flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends, is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Frequent walking and standing throughout the shift.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular climbing as part of job duties.
