Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit mechanical proficiency and/or the ability to self-learn to work on equipment such as washers, dryers, refrigeration units, heating systems, ice machines, minor plumbing, and electrical issues like replacing switches, receptacles, and loose wiring.
- ELECTRICAL TASKS: Must possess knowledge and the ability to self-learn in troubleshooting, identifying issues, and sourcing materials to effectively repair electrical problems, including wall switches, lighting, receptacles, and laundry equipment.
- STRUCTURAL TASKS: Must be knowledgeable and capable of self-learning regarding planning, ordering, and installing cabinets for apartment renovations, as well as performing carpentry duties such as repairing or replacing drywall and structural materials.
- PAINTING TASKS: Must be knowledgeable and capable of self-learning to plan, order, and execute painting tasks (interior/exterior) throughout the complex, ensuring timely and professional completion while adhering to disposal regulations.
- PLUMBING TASKS: Must be knowledgeable and capable of self-learning regarding planning, ordering, and addressing minor plumbing issues, including repairs to faucets, showers, and drains.
- Conduct daily inspections of the property's exterior grounds, promptly addressing any issues to ensure the property is always presentable.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Preferred two (2) years of experience in the building industry, maintenance, and/or housekeeping, focusing on the upkeep and repair of electrical, plumbing, and structural issues.
- Preferred one (1) year of experience in a supervisory role.
- Able to safely operate a variety of tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the principles and practices of assisted living and dementia care.
- Able to work effectively with seniors and interact patiently with cognitively impaired individuals.
- Must demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, decision-making in stressful situations, and effective prioritization of tasks.
- Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
- For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to participate in health protocols to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
