Overview:

Hubbell Incorporated is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director for our Intelligent Grid Solutions division. This role is pivotal in driving sales growth and expanding our footprint in the electrical distribution sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of utility technologies and a proven track record in sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales objectives and expand the customer base for Hubbell's innovative technology products and services.
  • Lead customer engagement initiatives across various product lines, ensuring alignment with market needs.
  • Develop strategic plans to assess customer requirements and deliver market-leading solutions.
  • Conduct market analysis to gather intelligence on competitors and emerging trends.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including utility management and industry partners.
  • Implement account-based marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement and drive sales.
  • Collaborate with product management teams to integrate customer feedback into product development.
  • Manage sales channels effectively, ensuring compliance with Hubbell's policies and procedures.
  • Represent Hubbell at industry events and forums, positioning the company as a thought leader in grid automation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical Engineering; an MBA is advantageous.
  • Over 15 years of experience in power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
  • Minimum of 10 years in sales or product management roles, with a focus on complex sales cycles.
  • Proven ability to innovate commercial strategies to capture market share.
  • Experience in building relationships at the VP and C-suite levels.

Skills:

  • Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing large transactions.
  • Familiarity with regulations and commercial aspects of the energy sector.
  • Ability to lead teams in a matrix environment and drive results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.

Travel Requirements:

Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.
