Job Summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of patient demographic and insurance information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and clinical staff while gathering accurate appointment, demographic, and insurance information.
  • Coordinate with physicians and staff to schedule appointments and resolve customer issues in a timely manner.
  • Utilize various software packages, including the Electronic Medical Record, scheduling, and registration systems, to ensure seamless communication and data management.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, medical secretaries, and other departments to meet customer and departmental needs.
  • Develop and maintain a positive first impression for patients and staff.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months experience in customer service or a healthcare environment.
  • Strong PC knowledge and excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
