Location: Onalaska, WI (Building A)

Working Hours: 1st shift; Monday - Thursday, 6:00 am - 4:30 pm; No mandatory overtime, no weekends

Compensation: Average starting pay of $17.50-$18.00/hour, with potential earnings up to $19.25/hour, and eligibility for wage increases twice a year.

Role Summary: Our Electronics Technicians are responsible for testing, refurbishing, sorting, and tracking electronic devices that may be suitable for resale. This includes disassembling, sorting, and categorizing electronic devices weighing between 1 to 50 pounds. The materials handled range from small tablets to commercial servers. Our technicians conduct tests to ensure devices meet internal standards and maintain accurate records of data collected. They independently assess whether a device can be salvaged or should be directed to our recycling team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving and surpassing daily production targets with a focus on quality
  • Performing hard drive data sanitization
  • Testing electronic devices for quality assurance
  • Sorting similar devices and materials
  • Accurately entering data into an electronic production tracker
  • Conducting work safely in accordance with company policies
  • Disassembling electronic equipment as needed

Qualifications: Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a fundamental understanding of computer hardware. Previous experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred, and exceptional candidates may possess post-secondary education in a technology-related field.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to exert 20 pounds of force continuously, with the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for the entire duration of the shift
  • Proficient in computer and keyboard use for data entry
  • Ability to work independently with a strong work ethic, contributing to team objectives
