Position Overview:
This role is designed for experienced technicians with a strong technical background and in-depth knowledge of IT hardware. As a Senior Electronics Hardware Technician, you will engage in critical processes that demand advanced technical skills and troubleshooting expertise, while also having the flexibility to assist in other technician roles as required. Success in this position hinges on your analytical capabilities and your ability to enhance profitability through effective time and resource management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process production materials according to established protocols, ensuring a high level of performance. This includes verifying customer specifications and utilizing tools and software to manage materials. Key processes involve complex items such as Apple devices, server equipment, and networking components.
- Conduct advanced diagnostics on IT hardware, identifying and resolving intricate issues within hardware components.
- Maintain accurate records of production outcomes using software applications, including ERP systems and documentation tools.
- Embrace a mindset of continuous improvement, supporting and advocating for changes, and serving as a subject matter expert when necessary.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a foundational understanding of computer hardware.
Skills & Competencies:
Knowledge:
- Essential: Familiarity with computer refurbishing and repair processes, networking devices, servers, Apple products, and IT hardware diagnostics.
- Desirable: Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques for both hardware and software challenges.
Skills:
- Essential: Strong problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, work ethic, integrity, advanced computer proficiency, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Desirable: Experience with spreadsheet and database management, as well as intermediate mathematical skills.
Abilities:
