About the Position
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly qualified individual to lead the newly established Alliance for Neurodevelopment Research as a Professor and Director. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of researchers and contribute to the growth of neurodevelopmental research at Virginia Tech.
About the Alliance
The Alliance for Neurodevelopment Research is a collaborative academic research environment that brings together faculty from various disciplines to explore the complexities of brain development and function. As the Director, you will be responsible for leading the Alliance and developing a vision for its future growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Alliance, including goals, objectives, and key performance indicators.
- Lead a team of researchers and staff to achieve the Alliance's objectives and promote a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Secure funding and resources to support the Alliance's research initiatives and programs.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective management of the Alliance.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in neuroscience or a related field.
- Proven track record of research excellence and leadership experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
- Experience in securing funding and resources to support research initiatives.
