About the Role
The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking an experienced professional to serve as an Associate Director of Residential Programs. This position will play a key role in supporting the development of living-learning communities and residential colleges, with a focus on advancing student engagement and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of program coordinators and administrative staff to ensure the effective implementation of living-learning programs.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and implement programmatic initiatives that promote student engagement and success.
- Work with the Director of Living-Learning Programs to develop and implement strategic plans to advance the mission of the Office of Living-Learning Programs.
- Provide leadership and guidance to program directors and faculty principals to ensure the effective management of residential colleges and living-learning communities.
- Develop and manage budgets to support programmatic initiatives and ensure fiscal responsibility.
Requirements
- Masters degree in Higher Education or related field.
- Progressive experience in higher education, with a focus on student engagement and success.
- Proven ability to supervise and manage teams, with a focus on developing and implementing effective programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively to achieve strategic goals and objectives.
