The Baked Goods Specialist will play a vital role in the management of the prepared foods section and collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to meet the sales and customer service objectives set for the department.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Adhere to and promote all store policies and operational guidelines.
- Act as a mentor and trainer to ensure exceptional customer service.
- Oversee production, inventory management, merchandising, and achieve sales and profit targets while maintaining safety and sanitation standards.
- Contribute to menu planning and innovation, experimenting with new trends and recipes to enhance Bashas' exclusive baked goods offerings.
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards.
- Maintain open lines of communication with kitchen staff and department management.
- Collaborate with the Catering Director and Executive Chef on menu development for catering services, ensuring profitability and quality.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in the baking area.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Culinary degree and a minimum of 2 years of comprehensive culinary experience in a similar role, or at least 5 years of diversified culinary experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.
- Experience in various work environments with fluctuating temperatures.
- Physical requirements include prolonged standing, repetitive movements, heavy lifting, bending, and frequent interaction with customers and team members in a dynamic setting.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
All candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, reliable transportation, and must successfully complete a drug and/or background screening.
