Nuclear Medicine Specialist

At Unavailable, we are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Specialist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Specialist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality Nuclear Medicine studies using accepted techniques and practices. You will also ensure the safe operation and care of equipment, as well as the proper exposure of patients to radiation/radioactive radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic nuclear medicine exams.
Responsibilities
Perform duties in support of and in compliance with the performance improvement plan, TJC, and other licensing accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Provide high-quality Nuclear Medicine studies using accepted techniques and practices.
Ensure the safe operation and care of equipment, as well as the proper exposure of patients to radiation/radioactive radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic nuclear medicine exams.
Ensure the safety of patients by following established guidelines for IV and oral radiopharmaceuticals administration.
Communicate effectively with ancillary areas and internal staff.
Evaluate, coordinate, and execute responsibilities under pressure situations.
Provide professional and quality care to patients from neonates to geriatrics while following hospital policies, procedures, and standards.
Qualifications
One (1) year or more experience preferred as a technologist in a full-service Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Department.
Graduate of Nuclear Medicine program.
Certification in Nuclear Medicine issued by the State of California (CNMT), Certification in Nuclear Medicine/Radiological Technology issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT-NM), and/or certification by Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
Computer skills for operating within the RIS/HIS/PACS medical terminology and good communication skills.
Ability to successfully complete job-related communication and arithmetic calculations. Radiation Safety/Safety Program related courses.
