Job Overview

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Pastry Chef to lead our pastry team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating high-quality pastries, cakes, and other baked goods that exceed our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a dynamic team of pastry chefs and bakers to create a unique menu selection of fresh baked pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins made with honest, whole ingredients.
  • Develop and implement recipes, menus, and production schedules to ensure efficient and effective pastry production.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to create new and innovative pastry products that meet customer demand and exceed expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory and ordering to ensure adequate supplies of ingredients and materials.
Requirements
  • 1+ years of large-scale baking/pastry experience with a proven track record of creating high-quality pastries and baked goods.
  • Leadership experience in a retail or food capacity, with a focus on team management and development.
  • Attentiveness to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Formal baking/pastry education is a plus, but not required.
