Job Summary

FosterThomas HR Management and Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of company payrolls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Process payroll for salaried exempt, non-exempt, and hourly employees, administering tax and direct deposit information, regulatory requirements, and other adjustments to pay.
  • Payroll Administration: Assist with site-level payroll across a multi-state organization utilizing ADP Workforce Now HRIS system and serve as payroll administrator for site payroll processors.
  • Payroll Support: Serve as payroll backup to site payroll processors, covering for leaves, vacations, and other absences.
  • Finance Support: Support the finance team on various payroll-related responsibilities, including annual bonus preparation and review, tax matters, audit support, data requests, and more.
  • Process Improvement: Maintain payroll best practices to improve efficiency and consult with the human resources team to improve payroll and HRIS processes.
  • System Administration: Assist in payroll systems upgrades and changes, and respond to unemployment claims promptly.
  • HRIS Administration: Assist with ADP Workforce Now HRIS modifications and add-ons, maintain complete electronic employee personnel files, records, and documentation, and generate reports for payroll, benefits, and other employee data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • ADP Workforce Now experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years of human resource experience
  • Certification in Human Resources
  • Microsoft Office and Excel
