Job Title: Financial Reporting Specialist

Job Summary:

The Financial Reporting Specialist will support the Environmental Services department at a major university. This role is responsible for analyzing and organizing operations and procedures, such as bookkeeping, payroll, accounts receivables/accounts payable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing and organizing operations and procedures to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Maximizing productivity through proficient use of software applications.
  • Researching and developing resources to create timely and efficient workflow.
  • Establishing uniform correspondence procedures and style practices.
  • Formulating procedures for systematic retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records.

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in written format and oral presentations.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment.
  • Exhibits initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
  • Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
  • Ability to use working knowledge of working environment to meet established goals and objectives.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency required plus 5 years' experience or college degree plus two years' experience.
  • Must successfully complete department orientation and any pre/post-employment testing.
  • Proficient in the use of Windows-based office software, including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
