Job Description

Job Title: Business Technology Program Director

Job Summary:

Trillium Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Business Technology Program Director to lead our IT program management team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational functions of our design program, providing leadership and guidance to a team of technical staff, and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of technology initiatives to our users.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee IT initiatives for assigned program, ensuring alignment with technology strategy
  • Assign resources to project teams to complete deliverables, ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and guidelines governing IT computer systems
  • Supervise staff in assigned program, ensuring consistent process and quality standards are implemented
  • Perform managerial and technical work ranging from simple to moderate difficulty, interacting with peer supervisors and IT Portfolio Managers to meet customer needs
  • Plan, oversee, and implement delivery of technology projects or services, overseeing staff assignments and priorities
  • Develop training plans for team members, develop and implement procedures, processes, and best practices
  • Provide strategic planning for program areas, recommend new technologies, and work with peers and subordinates to define strategic direction for assigned technology program
  • Identify business processes that may be improved with technology solutions, create processes and tools to facilitate increased efficiencies
  • Provide status reports on project plans, timelines, schedules, and progress updates, participate in strategic planning for programs, projects, or systems
  • Provide compliance management, ensuring that staff comply with required policies, processes, and procedures
  • Responsible for tracking operational metrics on assigned functions, applying those metrics to identify and improve function-specific processes

Requirements:

  • Ability to supervise technical staff and programs
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate multiple projects and teams of a complex and technical nature
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing with diverse audiences, making presentations and conducting meetings
  • Skill in the use of computers and software applications, technical troubleshooting, and system analysis and design
  • Ability to collect and organize performance metric data to present to management, develop, interpret, and apply policies and procedures in an IT environment
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively orally and in writing with internal and external customers, develop and implement work plans
  • Technical knowledge and skills in technologies appropriate to assigned program, skill in researching best practices and applying them to organizational guidelines and policies
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, establish and maintain professional working relationships, and interact effectively with customers and vendors
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures in an IT environment, skill in organizing and prioritizing activities, knowledge of technology and methodology of computer and network systems and software

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Skill in managing IT functions, including IT Governance and Compliance, Enterprise & Business Architecture, IT Service Management, Asset Management, Infrastructure and Ops, Application Development, PPM & Projects, or Data and BI Management
  • Knowledge and skill with technologies and functions appropriate to leading an IT program area, skill in people and resource management
  • Skill in leading IT professionals in the planning, analyzing, designing, developing, or implementing information technology programs, projects, or systems for a large organization
