Logistics Business Development Manager

At DC Logistics, we are seeking a skilled Logistics Account Executive to promote our logistical services and drive business growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for generating new business leads, communicating with existing customers, and arranging efficient transportation services with carriers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain assigned accounts and provide ongoing customer support.
- Develop and implement sales strategies around the provision of logistical services.
- Identify and contact prospective customers to promote logistical services and negotiate contracts.
- Integrate suitable technology solutions to optimize logistical services and communication channels.
- Evaluate business processes, assess risks, and recommend improvements to achieve sales targets.
- Address customer concerns and find innovative solutions for complex logistical challenges.
- Assess customer needs and determine suitable modes of transportation that align with cost and timeframe expectations.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistical services and arrange shipment and transportation details with carrier agents.
- Develop and maintain an effective carrier network and excellent customer relationships.
- Oversee the sales team, document processes, and prepare executive reports.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
- Previous experience in sales, shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehousing.
- At least two years' experience as a logistics account executive or similar.
- Proficiency in logistics management software.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Superb organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent leadership and collaboration capabilities.
