Logistics Manager Job Description

CESNA is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing and evaluating third-party warehouse companies and freight forwarders, developing budget parameters, and analyzing data to generate monthly reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and evaluate third-party warehouse companies and freight forwarders to ensure efficient and cost-effective logistics operations.
  • Develop budget parameters for third-party warehouse and inbound transactions to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting.
  • Analyze data and generate monthly reports to compare forecasts to actual results, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with ISR to find the best solution for outbound shipment from the warehouse to customers.
  • Monitor inbound materials from Asia affiliates and coordinate with third-party customs clearance to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
  • Manage 3PM companies for inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Maintain proof of delivery (POD) from the warehouse, coordinating with warehouse staff to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain new routes from the warehouse to customers to optimize logistics operations.
  • Develop and improve logistics with the sales team to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Share trends and insights with the sales team to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support contingency planning related to logistics operations.
  • Support HQ's requests related to logistics operations.
  • Manage ERP and warehouse management systems (WMS) to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Verify logistics charges with the accounting team to ensure invoices match payments.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of business processes, data analysis, quality control, and logistics.
  • At least five years of experience as a customer service manager, managing customer brokers, and third-party logistics and logistics specialists.
  • Experience utilizing inventory management software, order fulfillment software, and ERP systems.
  • Highly efficient in working through tasks, including managing short- and long-term projects and deadlines with multiple stakeholders.
  • Highly functional in Microsoft Excel, functional in PowerPoint and Word.
  • Experience working for an international organization is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
